Scanner overview

          
A scanner is a device that helps a user to take an image or text and convert it 
into a digital file and input the file into the computer.
* Some of the types of scanners:

1- Flatbed scanner = Desktop scanner:
    This type allows the user to put a paper, 
    photo or any other object onto the bed
    of the scanner & scans that object. 

2- Sheetfed scanner:
    It allows a user to scan pieces of paper 
    into the computer.

3- Handheld scanner:
    It scans only select sections of objects.

4- Cardscanner:
    It has the capability to scan business cards.
